Conducts research and analysis to build understanding of emerging social issues and trends, and develops recommendations for positive change. This often includes listening to the voices of those most affected by these issues and trends.

Conducts program and project evaluation to learn from the experiences of clients, participants, staff, and management and to understand impacts and outcomes.
Needs Assessment
Completes needs assessments for specific populations, communities or sectors to understand current challenges and to inform planning and policy development to address these challenges.
Engagement
Works with organizations to engage and consult with clients and partners to develop effective solutions.
Group Facilitation
Works with groups, including multi-sectoral, to assist with complex collaboration, decision making, strategic planning, project design and funding allocations.

I Never Thought it Would Happen to Me. Opioid Dialogues with women and girls in Surrey.
In Winter 2017/18 the SVWG Working Group hosted a series of dialogue sessions with women and girls, which focused on substance use and the current opioid crisis. The participants varied in age and circumstance. Most of the women and girls had experience using opioids, while a few had regularly used alcohol, cocaine and crystal methamphetamine. Some of the participants were youth and some were pregnant or new mothers. One group of women was still actively using while the rest were going through recovery and treatment.

Surviving the Night – Night-time safety and service needs of vulnerable women and girls in Surrey.
In 2019, the SVWG’s efforts focused on the night-time safety and service needs of vulnerable women and girls in Surrey. The resulting report, which highlights the issues, is based on a survey of street-engaged women and girls who are or have been involved in sex work, and a community stakeholders’ forum.
